This web site has been developed to aid McGill medical students in their study of the embryology of the digestive system and in understanding the embryologic origin of the most common anomalies that occur in GI development. It has been purposely designed and arranged in the same order and with the same content as Dr.Eugene Daniels' lectures to facilitate and enhance the students learning from the lectures.
To gain a more
in depth understanding of the embryological anatomy depicted in the figures
on this series of web pages, the student is encouraged to study the gross
anatomical sections selected for the study of the gastrointestinal tract development
that can be accessed in the following link: http://anatomy.med.unsw.edu.au/CBL/Embryo/Notes/git4.htm
Please, do not hesitate to contact me with any suggestions, criticisms, corrections and, hopefully, any positive comments.
