Gastrointestinal Physiology : About This Site Introduction You have reached the McGill Molson Informatics website on gastrointestinal
physiology. There are two different parts to this site. The first part presents quiz questions for the various lectures on GI physiology while the second part presents cases (with questions and answers) dealing with clinically encountered GI problems. Quiz Questions These quiz questions were developed by myself with the help of Dr. A.
Wechsler. Each lecture given by Dr. Wechsler has four to five questions.
These questions should be used for review purposes only. They were constructed
with the intent to test the students understanding of the main concepts
presented in each lecture. They may not be reflective of the level of
difficulty of questions encountered on the exam. Please click on the appropriate
link to begin. This part of the site presents real-life cases dealing with clinically encountered GI problems, similar to those presented in small group sessions. These real-life cases incorporate the knowledge gained through lectures on the GI system and test understanding of this material. Cases are presented, and various questions follow. The questions test basic understanding of simple GI physiological mechanisms and attempt to integrate various clinically involved aspects. The questions are followed by answers or specific citations to where the answers can be easily found. Please click on the appropiate link to begin.
