This is a chest x-ray and a series of CT cuts from a 76 year old patient treated with amiodarone for ventricular tachycardia.
The patient had been treated for more than 4 years on amiodarone, and at the time of the appearance of the pulmonary fibrosis was on 200 mg of amiodarone per day five days a week, monopril 5mg, potassium and ASA 80mg per day.
The amiodarone was discontinued, and the patient was treated with steroids with resolution of much of the fibrosis. An implantable defibrillator was implanted.
