This is a portable chest x-ray of a man post pacemaker replacement. The patient has two ventricular wires. The second was placed because the original wire had an insulation break and could not be used when the pacemaker was replaced. These are both unipolar leads, although the pacemaker is capable of bipolar pacing. A unipolar lead was used to keep the amount of hardware passing through the tricuspid valve to a minimum. |
