These are three panels taken from two chest x-rays from a patient with a defective pacemaker system.
The patient was implanted with the dual chamber pacemaker for sinus node dysfunction. The patient came to the pacemaker clinic for a routine pacemaker visit. He was asymptomatic. The patient's electrocardiogram showed failure to sense and to pace the ventricle. The first panel shows the chest x-ray taken at this clinic visit. The second and third panel show the patient's chest x-ray one day later.
