How to use this Web Site
As you know, this document requires a web browser to be viewed and is meant to be navigated in the same way one would consult a website on the internet (though it is not necessary to be online). Almost every page in this document contains a frame, to the left of the given sections main text, containing a clickable table of contents with links to important headings in the text as well as to this homepage. Clicking on any highlighted word with the left mouse-button will take you to a place in the document where that particular topic is addressed more comprehensively. You can always return to your previous location in the document by clicking the back button on your browser. The Health Resource for Travellers consists of four main sections: The Problem Prevention section presents useful general information on travel preparation. It contains sections on steps to take before leaving and while travelling, on what to do if you get sick, and on what to do after you come home. The Diseases section describes many of the myriad illnesses that may befall travellers. Each disease is described in terms of description, occurrence, vaccines, and other preventive measures. A summary is also provided for each disease. The Geographical Risk section describes health risks and precautions for specific countries where information is available. You may click on a particular country on the various maps or click on the countrys name just below the maps. The Web
Links section provides links to a number of international health and travel resources
on the World Wide Web (note that you must have internet access and be online to access
these links).
